Allocation of
the funds designated as sustainable on the swiss market
The designation
‘sustainability funds ‘ is used on the one hand by the emitting
institutes, on the other hand by the market (media, investor, Analysten
among other things.). All funds which consider either only the
ecological or the social dimensions are often called sustainable by the
market. However only
the funds which consider all three dimensions are usually called
sustainable by the emitting societies.
Funds which (apart from the
economic dimension) only pursue the ecological or the social dimension,
are usually called Eco-Funds or Socially responsible funds by the
institutes.
During the classification of the funds certified in Switzerland, it
showed up that all can be assigned to one or the other level of the
standard. Even the highest level has been reached several times. In
connection with the form of the sustainability it can be said that the
static and the dynamic form are nearly equivalently often represented.
The aim of this classification is to give to the investor the
possibility to find the fund that follows the philosophy that matched
best the one he does.
